Seattleites love their music, arts, sports, espresso, microbreweries, and ethnic foods-and yes, grunge rock did originate here. But these days you'll see more people sporting classically chic or contemporary casual styles than flannel and torn jeans.

In fact, San Francisco surpasses Seattle in the average amount of rain received each year! Sometimes called the Emerald City, Seattle is surrounded by sparkling bodies of water and bordered by magnificent mountain ranges and towering, snow-covered volcanic peaks. Whether you're a hiker, biker, swimmer, skier, or snowboarder, the possibilities for creating your own adventures are limitless.

You can watch the Seattle Mariners at Safeco field or head on over to the Key Arena, where the Seattle SuperSonics and the Seattle Storm go head-to-head against some of the greatest teams in the NBA and WNBA. The addition of the Seahawks Stadium has given the Seahawks a new home and the football fans a beautiful new venue to watch their favorite team.
