REALNETWORKS TEAMS WITH NFL TO BRING EXCLUSIVE PLAYOFF AND SUPER BOWL PROGRAMMING TO REALONE SUPERPASS SUBSCRIBERS

RealOne Extends Its Leadership Position As The Online Sports Destination By Bringing Content From The NFL, NBA, MLB Advanced Media, NASCAR.com and Top Collegiate Programs

SEATTLE, January 8, 2003 — RealNetworks®, Inc., (Nasdaq: RNWK), the global leader in media delivery on the Internet, today announced that it has teamed with the National Football League (NFL) as the official online subscription provider for SuperBowl.com, presented by Pepsi. Together, they will bring exclusive playoff programming to RealOne™ SuperPass subscribers in the weeks leading up to Super Bowl XXXVII in San Diego on January 26, as well as four live 90-minute programs during Super Bowl week.

In addition to the extensive content available at SuperBowl.com, subscribers to RealOne SuperPass will be able to see NFL Insider's Vic Carucci's Weekly Preview of upcoming games, as well as an in-depth review of each prior week's most compelling playoff game. During Super Bowl week (January 19-25), subscribers will be treated to a live and on-demand 90-minute show produced by NFL Films and hosted by football expert Steve Cohen and former Dallas Cowboys' Personnel Chief Gil Brandt-to be webcast from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.
