HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CAR? TUNE INTO CAR TALK WEEKLY WITH REALPLAYER 10
RealPlayer 10 and RealAudio are exclusive sources for streaming of Car Talk weekly program
SEATTLE April 06, 2004 RealNetworks (NASDAQ: RNWK) today announced that car lovers, those with less than love for their car, and even those without a car are now able to listen to Car Talk’s weekly show exclusive via RealPlayer 10 on their PC whenever they want.
"We've tried the other guys. For a while we switched to an allegedly-monopolistic mega-conglomerate company in Seattle for our media player, after our listeners grumbled about some aspects of Real," said Car Talk co-host Ray Magliozzi, "But Real heard us. They made a serious and successful attempt to address those things that our listeners complained about most. So, we're glad to be back."
"The new player is good-- but it's not perfect," noted brother and co-host Tom Magliozzi, "They still haven't perfected that Lawrence Welk-blocking technology I've been asking for."
Car Talk will have a new show available on their website (http://www.cartalk.com) every week (following the on-air broadcast) - all streamed in RealAudio 10 to RealPlayer 10 and provided by Real Broadcast Network.
