CHINA UNICOM CHOOSES REALNETWORKS' HELIX MOBILE PLATFORM TO LAUNCH AUDIO AND VIDEO STREAMING CONTENT SERVICES IN CHINA
SEATTLE, USA and BEIJING, China, October 20, 2004 — RealNetworks®, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNWK), announced today that China Unicom has selected its Helix™ mobile platform to enable streaming video and audio services for China Unicom’s CDMA mobile customers. With over 100 million subscribers, China Unicom is the world's third largest mobile operator. The company operates both GSM and CDMA networks in 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China.
