Multiple file formats — Helix Mobile Producer — On-Demand supports a variety of file formats. Supported file formats include RealAudio, RealVideo, 3GPP Rel 5, and 3GPP2 Rel 6 and 3GPP2 (wireless industry standards).
Multiple encoding formats — Helix Mobile Producer — On-Demand supports a variety of video and audio encoding formats. For video, it supports RealVideo, MPEG-4, H.263 and H.264 formats. For audio, it supports RealAudio, AAC, AACPlus, Enhanced AACPlus, AMR (NB and WB), QCELP and MP3 formats.
Variable bit rate encoding — This feature enables the video codec to vary the bit rate throughout the clip, depending on the type of content being encoded (high action scenes, low action scenes etc.). This allows for more consistent quality of video encoding for downloadable content, while keeping download times as short as possible.
Video Scaling — For 3GPP, 3GPP2, and RealVideo output formats, imported video files can be scaled to standard resolutions from SQCIF (128 x 96) up to CIF (352 x 288). Helix Mobile Producer — On-Demand can also encode RealVideo at up to VGA (640x480).
Prefiltering — Cropping, frame rate conversion, inverse telecine, deinterlacing, noise filtering, brightness, contrast, and gamma adjustments all combine to allow you to create even better quality video.
Brand integration — Ability to burn logos as part of the video stream/feed

EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY
Input file support — Helix Mobile Producer — On-Demand can accept a variety of filetypes for encoding. Supported file types include AVI, MOV, DV, MPEG1, MPEG2 (with an additional DirectShow or Quicktime plug-in), MP3, MPEG4 and WAV.
Intuitive GUI — Helix Mobile Producer — On-Demand has an intuitive GUI which displays both the source multimedia content and the encoded content in separate panels. You can visually observe the encoding, and determine the start and end points.
XML job files — Define all of the settings for encoding (what format, what codec to use, configuration for the specific codec that you are using, bit rate etc.) in an XML file, for fast reuse of the same settings for multiple input files.
User's guide & sample settings files — The included user's guide will help you get started quickly, and will provide the information you need to define your own preset and project files to provide the best encoded content to your viewers.
