SECURITY PATCH UPDATE FOR REALPLAYER ENTERPRISE
As part of RealNetworks' continuing effort to inform you of security issues that may put your computer system at risk. While we have not received any reports of system attacks, RealNetworks(R) is providing a Patch Update for RealPlayer(R) Enterprise versions 1.1, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.6 that will provide additional security protection from this potential exploit.

The specific exploit:
To fashion an RM file which corrupts the RealPlayer when run from a local drive and which might allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on a user's machine.

Affected Software:
This affects versions 1.1, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.6 of RealPlayer Enterprise (standalone and as configured by the RealPlayer Enterprise Manager). This patch should not be applied to consumer versions of the RealPlayer, such as RealPlayer 10.

Workaround:
To ensure that your RealPlayer Enterprise is protected, we recommend you follow the steps below to install the security update:

1. Download the updated rmff3260.dll file.
2. Exit the Enterprise player if it is running
3. Copy the file to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Plugins, overwriting the existing file with same name
4. Restart the Enterprise player
