Statement from RealNetworks Regarding RealDVD Litigation


SEATTLE — October 7, 2008  — Digital entertainment services company RealNetworks, and its subsidiary RealNetworks Home Entertainment, issued the following statement:

Today, Judge Marilyn Patel in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled this afternoon to extend the temporary restraining order against RealDVD until she can hold a more complete hearing.

"We are confident that the Court will determine that RealDVD complies with the DVD CCA license agreement, and that it is not in violation of any copyright laws."
