2009 Press Releases

RealGames and Summit Entertainment Announce "Twilight: The Movie Game" for Mobile Phones

Trivia-based game now available to wireless customers of AT&T, coming soon to other carriers

SEATTLE – October 7, 2009 – RealGames™, a division of RealNetworks®, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNWK), and Summit Entertainment today announced the availability of a mobile game based on the wildly popular film TWILIGHT, titled "Twilight: The Movie Game."  The game, which was created by Real®'s own Mr. Goodliving® studio out of Finland, is now available to wireless customers of AT&T.  "Twilight: The Movie Game" will be available on other major North American and European wireless carrier decks later this month.

With nearly 500 questions, "Twilight: The Movie Game" challenges fans to find out how well they know TWILIGHT and offers a fun way to brush up on details from the first movie before seeing the upcoming film, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, which is due in theaters on November 20, 2009.  Fans can play by themselves or with friends and test their TWILIGHT knowledge by answering fun text and photo trivia questions. Under a multiple-game agreement with Summit, RealGames will publish additional mobile games based on upcoming film installments in THE TWILIGHT SAGA franchise.

"It's always exciting to create a partnership that enables us to develop a great game around a popular consumer brand – and in this case, a pop culture phenomenon," said Matt Turetzky, vice president of RealGames.  "'Twilight: The Movie Game' gives us the opportunity to get our award-winning mobile games content in front of a huge audience of players around the world, and we're excited to be on board for the franchise as the story unfolds in theatres."

The TWILIGHT film series stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen, a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together... even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires.  The action-packed, modern day vampire love story TWILIGHT, the first film in the series, was released in theatres on November 21, 2008, to a blockbuster reception.  The second installment of the film franchise, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, will be released November 20, 2009.  The third film in the franchise, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is due in theaters on June 30, 2010.

RealGames is a leader in the casual games industry worldwide and develops games for multiple platforms, with a vertically integrated development, publishing, licensing, distribution and retail business.
