Introducing Helix Proxy, a streaming media only proxy-cache solution for Enterprise and ISP environents. This flexible software solution provides all of the benefits of Proxy technology as a compact, stand-alone software application.

	Reduce bandwidth costs — By eliminating redundant data transmission. When a user streams content through the cache, the data is encrypted and stored on disk. Subsequent requests for the same content are served from the disk cache, dramatically reducing bandwidth consumption between the origin server and the cache
	Manage and protect the network — Helix Proxy allows you to cap inbound and outbound bandwidth, ensuring that mission-critical applications are not adversely affected by streaming activites. Additionally, Helix Proxy allows network administrators determine who can access what content
	Respect content owners' rights — Helix Proxy authenticates every client request at the origin, so control of the content always stays at the origin server
	Improve end-user experience — By caching and splitting content closer to the end-user, Helix Proxy reduces transmission problems that degrade the quality of the playback experience

Real has an official partner certification program under which vendors who develop products and services with the Helix and RealPlayer software receive technical support and development assistance from Real. These products are rigorously tested to ensure that the quality of experience is commensurate with the experience of being connected directly to a Helix product. Only then can they receive the title "Helix Certified."

	Include Helix software, ensuring that as subsequent versions of the Helix are released, new functionality can be easily adopted and supported.
	Supports all Helix media types including RealAudio, RealVideo, MP3, Flash 4, and QuickTime delivery to QuickTime clients, and over 40 additional media types.
