ALL-DIGITAL NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER
The all-digital Network Operations Center (NOC) specializes in media signal acquisition, real-time encoding and broadcast event scheduling and management. It is staffed 24x7 by radio and television professionals with decades of experience.
The NOC can receive live content through satellite, phone coupler, frame relay, ISDN and general Internet delivery. Content is then routed into our distributed network. On-demand content is delivered via FTP. All systems in our NOC are N+1 redundant.

REDUNDANT NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE
RBN's high quality distributed network was designed to overcome the challenges of streaming media delivery through N+1 redundant pathways, distributed server farms and multiple backbone providers. We privately peer directly to the backbones that host our servers through dark fiber solely dedicated to RBN through 3 pathways with diverse vendors and never peak to greater than 100% of a single pathway. We have over 300 servers dedicated solely to streaming and digital download distributed at 5 locations. Our dark fiber terminates directly onto 3 major backbones.
Third party studies attest to RBN's quality of service. Recently, KeyNote concluded that our consumers had a greater than 99% success rate when accessing March Madness basketball games. Our closest competitor had an 85% success rate.

HIGHEST QUALITY STORAGE SYSTEMS AVAILABLE
RBN's storage system is a fully N+1 redundant architecture built upon multi-terabyte RAID 5 storage arrays with a manufacturer's guarantee of 6 Sigma uptime, which guarantees the best possible experience. The arrays are interconnected through an NFS mounted file system running over fiber arrays with redundant pathways and switches at every point.
Archived content is cached at RBN's distributed data centers. Content is backed up through an NFS mounted tape system every week.
RBN also provides password-protected access to your FTP on demand and reporting accounts. You can set up your own directory structures and hierarchies to manage your content, which can be tied directly into your reporting structures.

INTELLIGENT REDIRECTION SYSTEM
Every time a user clicks on a piece of content delivered through the RBN network, they activate a proprietary piece of software we refer to as the "redirector." RBN has developed routing algorithms that redirect an end-user to the server, which will provide them the best experience possible given dynamic environmental factors like the load and connectivity of a server.
THE BEST CONTENT SECURITY SYSTEM AVAILABLE
RBN has developed a content security system used both for protecting content behind an e-commerce system or just to ensure it can only be accessed from a particular website. RBN's content security solution combines proven cryptographic technology, an open protocol and an IP based ACL (Access Control List) into an easy-to-implement, reliable security system which integrates with streaming server systems. None of our competitors have gone as far as we have in protecting content within the server software itself.

Depending on the implementation, RBN's content security solution can be used to secure content behind authentication systems or to simply prevent link hijacking. As an example, the system is currently being used to protect all of the content behind the Real SuperPass subscription service the fastest growing online premium content subscription service with over 750,000 subscribers.
The system integrates easily with your website or authentication system to establish a token passing system. Each token is a unique cryptographically secure harsh value providing access only to the individual who requested it.
